Viewers of the Otr Elkalam show, one of the initiatives of the General Entertainment Authority, are eagerly awaiting the closing episode of the international Quran and adhan competition, which will be broadcast today, Friday, April 7. The show will witness the honoring of the first-place winners of the two tracks of recitation and adhan.
During the episode, the winning talents of the current edition of the largest religious competition in the world, whose prize pool is more than SAR12 million, will share 20 prizes, with 10 prizes for each of the two tracks of recitation and adhan.
The contestants were evaluated by a jury specialized in sounds and maqamat (musical structures), taking into account good performance, elaborate tajwid, interaction with recitation and communicating its meaning with reverence to the hearts of the listeners. The international competition comes in strategic partnership with the Muslim World League. It is broadcast on MBC and the Shahid digital platform and aims to shed light on the talents and vocal capabilities of the reciters and muazzins, based on the use of the rules of melody and the feelings that contribute to conveying the state intended by the reciters and muazzins to the audience.
