Saudi Arabia, 12 Ramadan, 3 April 2023

In today’s episode of Otr Elkalam, one of the initiatives of the General Entertainment Authority, the Moroccan contestant Zakaria Al-Zirk qualified for the final of the competition in the Quran track at the expense of his Egyptian rival, who specializes in the seven recitations of the Holy Quran and holds an MA in the Arabic language, Ahmed El Sayed Ismail. The competition between the two contestants was intense in applying the provisions of Tajwid and the employment of maqamat (musical structures) according to the meanings and implications of the Quranic verses.

Al-Zirk, whose shyness stopped him at the beginning of his life from reading the Quran in public assemblies, used the platform of Otr Elkalam to communicate his voice to the world through different colors of performance and beautiful recitations that touched the hearts and ears of the audience. The competition has become a popular Ramadan show in the Islamic world and many other countries.

In the adhan track, the Diaa UlDin bin Nizaruldin reached the third seat in the final of Otr Elkalam, after eliminating his Nigerian rival, Rayan Hawsawi, who reached the semi-finals thanks to his mastery of the Maqamat of Rast, Bayat and Nahound.
