In Otr Elkalam.. A British Boy Gets Closer to Achieving the Wish of the Prophet’s Mosque Muezzin

With his qualifying in the Adhan track, in today’s episode of Otr Elkalam Show, one of the initiatives of the Saudi General Entertainment Authority, Ibrahim Assad, a British contestant, has got closer to achieving the wish of the Prophet’s Mosque muezzin, Osama Al-Akdhar, who was his biggest supporter and who wished that he would win one of the first positions in the competition, which is considered the largest of its kind in the world. 

Ibrahim Assad, a 12-year-old contestant, has participated in today’s episode in the competition semifinals with the contestant, Issa Al-Jaadi from Yemen, who raised the Adhan, with a distinguished performance, using beautiful Maqamat.

In the Quran track of today’s episode, the Iranian contestant, Yunis Shahmoradi competed with the German contestant of Moroccan origin, Salah Edin Mutabid. Both contestants proved their capabilities in showing the bond between the verses of the Quran and their recitation with voices that enhance the pronunciation of words, and stopping at the end of each verse, in addition to attracting the viewers’ attention to the meanings of the verses of the Quran. The Iranian contestant, Yunis Shahmoradi, qualified after the result was decided by the jury, which is composed of experts in recitations, vocal tracks and Maqamat.

The competition, which was launched in its first edition during Ramadan of last year, has become one of the most essential Ramadan shows in the Islamic World and across many other countries because the show sheds a light on the beautiful voices of the Adhan and the recitation of Quran, through passionate Maqamat and voices that inspire contemplation.

Otr Elkalam show aims to show the talents and vocal capabilities of the reciters and muezzins by using the best performances based on the use of the rules of tune, and the sensations that contribute to conveying the feeling and the state that the reciters want to the listeners of the show.
